Conveyancing Explained for the Buyer
Conveyancing is the legal process that ensures the smooth and lawful transfer of property ownership to you as the buyer. It involves conducting searches to identify potential issues with the property, reviewing contracts to ensure they’re accurate, and handling the financial aspects of the transaction, such as transferring funds. Your conveyancer will also liaise with the seller’s representative, address any concerns, and register the property in your name with the Land Registry once the sale is complete. This process ensures you can purchase your property with confidence and peace of mind.
Post Completion
As you settle in and unpack, we will apply to HM Land Registry for the property to be registered in your name. Please note this can take up to 12 months, or longer if it is part of a large title or unregistered.
